Thai Hanging Flowers and Thai Artificial Flowers are Thai fine craftsmanship, another inherited art from local wisdom creating the valuable artwork that every Thai is proud of. In the past, These were only used for decoration in the palace, then in the loyal temples, and also in the house of wealthy people. Even these arts have been inherited for a long time since the Ayutthaya period but it nowadays starts to disappear. However, its value will remain the same waiting for people in the next generation to conserve and inherit. Each type of Thai Hanging Flowers has different unique patterns and names such as Bandai Kaew, Bandai Ngern, Bandai Thong, Glin Jean Dok Ruk, Wiman Phra-In, Wiman Taen, Puang Chompoo and Puang Kaew. Besides, It’s used on different occasions and locations too.

Puang Karng is one type of Thai Hanging Flowers in Na Bowon, with its own uniqueness combined of 6 v-shaped patterns and 2 circles inside knitting with artificial Hibiscus flower and Crown flower. For the star shape used a Gardenia flower to make the unique triangle shape. In each corner decorated with Thai flowers and circle-shaped flowers which on the top have Crown flower as the string to connect to Thai flowers.

Moreover, our place has Glin Takaeng, another style of Thai Hanging Flowers. Have 6 v-shape or hexagon as the main structure decorated by strings made of Thai flowers at each corner. Usually using Crown flower and Gardenia flower to make it. It is always made for decoration and some people sometimes add more colors to make it more beautiful. Also, it was always hung at the window to create more fragrance when the wind blows through the window.
